Compress PNG files. Private and browser-side.

PixSip compresses PNG files locally: screenshots and line art stay pixel-exact when they already fit a palette, while photo PNGs use palette quantization plus OxiPNG. Add up to 20 images (10 MB each); transparency stays intact and nothing is uploaded.

Capabilities and limits verified October 8, 2026.

For repeat workflows

More than a one-off batch?

Paid plans handle up to 500 images per batch, files up to 300 MB, faster parallel encoding, and whole-folder input. Plans start at $19/year.

How browser-side PNG compression works

  1. 1

    Add your PNG files

Drop up to 20 PNG images, each up to 10 MB. The files stay in this browser tab.

  2. 2

    Choose the safe path automatically

Palette-ready screenshots and line art stay lossless; photographic PNGs are quantized before OxiPNG removes redundant bytes.

  3. 3

    Inspect and download

Compare the result at 1:1, then save one PNG or download the whole batch as a locally generated ZIP.

PNG compression built for real image types

63% smaller reference PNG

Our 1024×695 photo PNG fell from 691 KB to 252 KB. Already optimized files are returned unchanged rather than made larger.

Transparency preserved

Transparent backgrounds remain transparent, so logos, UI assets and product cutouts keep working after compression.

No upload endpoint

Palette quantization and OxiPNG run as WebAssembly on your device. Disconnect after loading the page and compression still works.
